On The Last Word at half 6 to talk about smartphones

    Thursday, July 24th, 2008

I’ll be on The Last Word on Today FM this evening to talk about smartphones and iPhone rivals - something I recently had an article in Business & Finance magazine about (but ashamedly neglected to mention here).
You can tune in online, on your radio (100-102 FM in Ireland or on DAB) or via your digital […]

    On Newstalk this evening

    Saturday, July 12th, 2008

I’ll be on Newstalk’s Culture Shock this evening to preview Sunday’s newspapers.
The show itself starts at 7pm and I should be on air at around 8:45pm (as always it’s the show’s closing segment).
So if you’re around a radio, digital TV or computer then tune in. I guarantee it will be worth it*.
    * Not a guarantee.

    Media and Lisbon

    Sunday, June 22nd, 2008

I recently took part in an episode of Inside Out for Dublin City FM on the topic of media and the Lisbon Treaty.
The discussion revolved around the suggestion that the British imports available in Ireland, which are generally Euro-sceptic, played a significant role in pushing the electorate towards the ‘No’ side. It also extended […]

On Newstalk for the Sunday newspaper preview

    Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I’ll be on Newstalk’s Culture Shock at around 8:45pm this evening to go through some of tomorrow’s newspaper headlines.
Lisbon is likely to factor heavily - as it has for the past week - but here’s hoping there’ll be some variety of topics on the agenda besides that.
So if you’re the impatient type and can’t wait […]

    The integrated newsroom

    Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

The Press Gazette yesterday published an interesting although somewhat vague article on The Guardian’s moves to the ‘integrated newsroom’, a term that is sure to become the buzz-word of the mainstream media in the coming months and years.
The Guardian’s mission, headed up by editor-in-chief Alan Rusbridger, is to merge the editorial operations of The Guardian […]

    Saturday, April 26th, 2008

I’ll be doing the Sunday newspaper preview on Newstalk’s Culture Shock tonight for anyone who’s doing nothing at 8:45pm or so.
You can tune in online or if you’re in Ireland through your FM, DAB or Internet radio; through your UPC or Sky digibox or by making your way to their city centre studios and pressing […]

On The Last Word this evening to talk about Broadband and ALTO

    Tuesday, April 22nd, 2008

I’ll be on Today FM’s The Last Word at around 6pm this evening to talk about eircom’s broadband proposals (again) in light of opposition to it from the ALTO group (Which comprises of eircom’s main opposition such as BT Ireland, UPC and Smart telecom).
Tune in online or on the radio if you’re about!

On The Last Word this evening to talk about defamation online

    Monday, March 31st, 2008

In light of the goings on at Politics.ie (Mulley has some detail if you’re not sure of what’s happening) I’ll be on Today FM’s The Last Word at around 17:40 to talk about the issue of defamation online in Ireland and what you can or can’t say or do.
Tune in through any of the various […]
