Tale of a coffee drinker

Coffee is an important part of my diet, to the point that when I did briefly stop drinking it two years ago I got a day-long migraine due to caffeine withdrawal.

My family are all tea-drinkers but I never found much grá with that particular substance. Then in my early teens I discovered cappuccino and it briefly became my drink of choice, usually in the form of a stir-in sachet laden with sugar.

From here I switched to white coffee, keeping the mountain of sugar in the mix. Eventually the milk went completely, followed gradually by the sugar. Now I generally drink it black with nothing added, although I do sometimes enjoy a more complex concoction if I’m in the right mood and café.

There’s not much point to this post other than that – it was just hard to resist writing after reading through Cristoph Niemann’s charming tale of being a coffee drinker. His is far better, of course, and you should take a minute to give it a look.
