I’m dreaming of a white 7th February…
Wednesday, February 7th, 2007I went downstairs to get a glass of water before going to bed and noticed that the path outside my front-door looked a little, well, brighter than usual through the frosted glass.
Turns out it has just been snowing here in Dublin 9.
It’s odd, because the last time I went outside - around 10PM, there wasn’t a hint of a snowflake, and as you can see by the photos I just took, the snow on the road was pretty untouched a few minutes ago (which was about 2AM, 7th February). In fact, the only tyre tracks were left by a car that passed just as I took the first photo.
I’ve always been struck how beautiful snow makes everything look - even the most depressingly dull of places and things. I love Dublin city centre anyway, especially at night and I hope the snow sticks around for me to see it in there tomorrow or Thursday.
